Meet Malcolm Larvadain
Alexandria City Councilman, District 1 — Candidate for Mayor

A Mayor Who Builds
One Alexandria
About Malcolm
Alexandria roots. A career built on service.
Malcolm X. Larvadain grew up in Alexandria and has spent his career giving back to the city that raised him. After earning his undergraduate degree at Morehouse College, he returned home to Louisiana to complete his law degree at the Southern University Law Center, following in a family tradition of public service and advocacy in Central Louisiana.
Malcolm represents District 1 on the Alexandria City Council, where he focuses on the issues that matter most to residents: economic development, public safety, and building a city government that works for every neighborhood. He also runs his own Alexandria law practice, where he's spent years working directly with local families and small businesses.
Now he's running for mayor to bring that same hands-on approach to the whole city. Malcolm believes Alexandria's neighborhoods, north and south, old and new, all rise together.
